Product Improvements

Task Search

You can now search across all tasks by target name, target phone number, template name, batch description, and more. You can even search on custom context items like “patient name” and “prior auth reference number”.

The task search feature can be used to find a single specific task, or a list of tasks that share similar fields or context.

Bulk Task Creation

We added a CSV upload feature that allows users to create tasks in bulk. This feature includes a user-friendly interface for mapping CSV columns to required fields in Opkit, as well as intelligent auto-mapping.

Scripts

You can now draft and manage custom call scripts within Opkit.

Scripts give users significantly more control over how Opkit executes their phone calls. When you create a script and select it during the “Create Task” flow, Opkit will pass this information to the AI agent and make sure the agent completes the call according to your specialized instructions.

Copy Task

You can now duplicate any task with ease via the “Copy Task” button.

This button is particularly useful for retrying tasks that may have been completed unsuccessfully, or for recreating tasks that contain mistakes. For example, if you accidentally create a task using the wrong patient name, the “Copy Task” button allows you to quickly recreate this task with the necessary corrections.

New Objective Data Types

Opkit now has support for additional objective date types:

  • date

  • time

  • js-date-time

  • integer

These new data types give users even more flexibility and power when it comes to automatically capturing and extracting data from calls.

Settings Page

You can now personalize your Opkit experience via the “Settings” page. Use this page to create and manage API keys, add custom columns to the tasks table, and more.

Faster Transcripts

Opkit now generates enriched transcripts twice as fast, dramatically reducing the amount of time a user needs to wait before they can review a completed call.

This improvement carries over to results, which are also available twice as fast as before.

Coming Soon

We’ll be landing a full suite of amazing product features over the next month. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Result Checks: A major new feature, Result Checks will allow users to define custom logical rules for validating task results. When a Result Check evaluates to false, this task will be highlighted in the dashboard, ensuring that your team is aware of any suspicious-looking outputs.

  • Custom Columns on Tasks Table: Soon you’ll be able to configure custom columns in the tasks table, including columns based on context items like “patient name”.

  • Usage Page: We’re adding a dedicated dashboard page for tracking usage across your account, including graphs for metrics like “tasks created”, “tasks completed”, and “tasks flagged”.

  • Cancel Tasks: Soon you’ll be able to cancel tasks you no longer need or want before they are executed. Canceled tasks won’t count towards your monthly bill.

Use-Case Deep-Dive - Verification of Benefits

For healthcare provider organizations that accept commercial insurance, Verification of Benefits (VOB) is an essential process that ensures patients have adequate coverage before they receive services.

A normal VOB process starts with the provider collecting the patient’s insurance information. Once accurate insurance info is on file, the provider will reach out to the patient’s insurance company to ask about the status of the patient’s plan, as well as their coverage for specific goods and services. (These can be medical services, prescription drugs, or even physical equipment like wheelchairs and knee braces.) Crucially, the provider will also determine whether the patient has any cost-sharing responsibilities, such as copays or coinsurances.

While there are many ways to perform Verification of Benefits, the best, most accurate, and most reliable method is to place an outbound call to the insurance company’s provider services phone number.

In the video above, Opkit CEO Sherwood Callaway demonstrates how you can configure the Opkit to automate these calls, allowing you to perform them in a fast, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
